Sheet 07 · The plan

The year, laid out before it starts.

Junior spring is ideal — it leaves room for testing, essays, and a summer of real writing. We still take seniors through October and rebuild the plan around the time that is actually left. Either way, you leave the first call with a dated timeline.

  1. 01 · Junior spring

    Groundwork

Diagnostic testing, an honest read on the transcript, and the first pass at a school list. We work out what the four-year record already says before deciding what to add to it.

  2. 02 · Summer

    The writing stretch

The essay gets written while there is time to write it badly first. Brainstorming, drafts, and read-aloud edits — the student writes every word, and we question until it sounds like them.

  3. 03 · June – November

    Peak season

Two scheduled 1:1 hours a week. Supplements, the final list, testing where it still moves the needle, and every deadline tracked on a timeline you can open at any time.

  4. 04 · December – May

    Decisions

One scheduled hour a week at the lower rate. Remaining deadlines, interview preparation, and the conversation about which offer actually fits.

You leave the first call with the dated version.
